The Build
Overview
Featuring a 4.4L V8, the E39 540i is a hidden gem in BMW’s lineup and this one was optioned with a proper three-pedal manual. It sports Bilstein dampers for more predictable handling, H&R springs for a proper ride height, Eibach sway bars to keep it flat in the corners, and a M5 steering box for better steering feel. While this example has accumulated some miles, these cars are known for their build quality and longevity and this one looks to have been kept it particularly good shape.
